Iqama Validity

Minimum 30-Day Iqama Validity Required for Final Exit Visa

Riyadh — The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has said that a minimum validity of 30 days is required for the residence permit (Iqama) of a foreign worker to issue a final exit visa.

Employers and family heads are advised to renew the Iqama if its validity is less than 30 days before applying for the final exit visa.

The Jawazat further explained:

  • If the Iqama validity is between 30 and 60 days, the final exit visa’s duration will match the remaining validity.
  • If the validity exceeds 60 days, a 60-day visa will be issued.

Final exit visas can be processed online via the Ministry of Interior’s platforms, including “Absher” and “Muqeem,” at no cost.
