Saudi Arabia Mandates Polio Vaccination for Passengers

Riyadh — The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has recently implemented a mandatory polio vaccination certificate requirement. This measure aims to safeguard public health and prevent the spread of polio within the Kingdom.

As per the latest directive, all passengers departing from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia must present proof of polio vaccination certificate against polio. The requirement applies to travelers of all age groups and is in line with global health recommendations for controlling the transmission of the disease.

The GACA notification specifies that travelers must provide a valid polio vaccination certificate, issued by an authorized medical institution, as part of their travel documentation. Airlines operating flights to Saudi Arabia have been instructed to ensure compliance with this regulation before boarding.

This move underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to protecting its citizens and residents from preventable diseases and maintaining the country’s status as polio-free.
