Saudi Jawazat: Minimum 30 Days Iqama Validity Required for Final Exit Visa
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has announced that expatriates must have at least 30 days of validity remaining on their residency permit (Iqama) to be eligible for a final exit visa. If an individual’s Iqama has less than 30 days of validity, the Jawazat advises employers and heads of families to renew the Iqama before applying for the final exit visa.

For Iqamas with more than 30 days but less than 60 days of validity, the final exit visa will be issued for the remaining duration of the Iqama. If the Iqama is valid for 60 days or more, a final exit visa with a 60-day validity period will be granted.
Employers and heads of families can obtain final exit visas for their workers and dependents through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platforms, such as Absher, Absher Business, and the Muqeem portal. This service is available free of charge.
